Although winter is approaching one cannot
let the winter pass without wondering about global warming. Is England’s
future one of
hotter and extended winters?
This must be one of the hottest and longest winters on record and
it certainly has been idyllic for those who have visited The Swan
at Streatley. This riverside hotel has a charm of its own in its setting
and provides a romantic location for wedding receptions.The marquee
wedding reception of my daughter Kathy to Phill was a huge success
and a tribute to the staff of The Swan at Streatley who organised
and conducted this perfect occasion. It was such a success that The
Swan at Streatley is proposing to add a Marquee Wedding Package to

With Christmas fast approaching The Coppid Beech and The Swan at
Streatley have planned some very special entertainment for the
festive period. Page 3 tells you how you can enjoy an evening filled
with fine foods, music and enjoyment.
The ski holiday season is upon us so why not get into that Après-ski
mood at our ski centres following a ski tone-up or lesson on
the slopes.You can also enjoy fondue and oompah evenings where you
can party the evening away with your friends.

(England) in 1964, acquiring 60 acres of land on the western
edge of the town in 1969. With no specific thoughts of
development - just a vision of replacing the existing
